Orange t-shirt. "Chelsea Gay Association" The Chelsea Gay Association was the first neighborhood based gay and lesbian group in New York City. Founded in the fall of 1977, it lasted until the fall of 1984. It combined social events with political activity and was instrumental in the formation of what was to become the New York Lesbian and Gay Anti-violence Project.
